Children are great! If you are a parent we wish you all the best in your family life! We do however ask that you find childcare for your kids rather than bring them in. Healing & Jewelry Guide

Tattoo After Care Guide

The life of your tattoo is dependent upon the care it receives within the first few days. It takes about two weeks to heal and two more weeks to settle in.

For taped tattoo bandage, leave on from 2 to 3 hours then remove.

  • For waterproof bandages, leave on from 8-24 hours depending on fluid build up.
  • Gently wash tattoo with cool soapy water- do not use loofah or washcloth.
  • Rinse thoroughly
  • Lightly pat dry with a clean towel
  • With clean hands, apply a thin layer of tattoo aftercare ointment 2 or 3 times a day for 4 or 5 day
  • After the 5th day, apply a thin layer of fragrance free lotion such as Lubriderm, Jergens or Eucerin 5 or 6 times a day for the entire healing process.

If a rash occurs (bumps on or around the tattoo as with an allergic reaction) or redness persists, discontinue use and call us for suggestions or product alternatives.

When caring for your tattoo, avoid the following:

• DO NOT Re-bandage your tattoo
• DO NOT use Vaseline or Petroleum Jelly
• DO NOT use Alcohol or Peroxide
• DO NOT Pick or Scratch your tattoo
• DO NOT soak your tattoo in the tub or shower – get in, get clean, get out!
• DO NOT expose your tattoo to direct sunlight and/or tanning beds
• STAY OUT of pools, hot tubs, oceans, etc. for two weeks or until tattoo is fully healed.

Getting Pierced

Accepted forms of payment at time of service: cash or credit.

Choose carefully, ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

PRICES ARE INCLUDING BASIC JEWELRY. HUNDREDS OF UPGRADE OPTIONS AVAILABLE!!
ALL JEWELRY IS IMPLANT GRADE ASSOCIATION OF PROFESIONAL PIERCERS APPROVED MATERIAL.

Anatomy varies from person to person. Not everyone is built to accommodate every piercing or all sizes or styles of jewelry. The consultation at the beginning of your booking will determine, first, if you and receive the piercing and if so, the starting jewelry’s size and style is at the discretion of the piercer and based on what will heal best for you.

We provide jewelry made from the purest, most well-manufactured materials available. Each material used has been painstakingly researched.

We have a large range of jewelry available for you to choose from, selection varies depending on the size and style best suited for your specific anatomy as well as your personal preference and over all ‘look’. Since starter jewelry prices vary we separate the basic piercing fee from the price of the jewelry. Although an all inclusive price can make for convenient price shopping it doesn’t give you many options. Since often piercings take several months to heal we like giving our clients the option to start out with the amazing, flattering, piece of jewelry they want from the very beginning. We do not pierce with jewelry purchased outside the studio.

Piercing Jewelry Size Chart

Jewelry Changes

All piercer skills are technically advanced. All procedures are performed with great speed and accuracy using the most effective and efficient methods. Often the client doesn’t even realize that s/he has already received the piercing.

We are working by appointment OR walk in.

  • We will bring you in to the piercing room, prepare your skin with an appropriate cleansing product, mark the area and then pierce you.

We are proud to say, The Queen Bee Tattoo Parlour is a primarily disposable studio. This means that not only are needles, inks, and supplies single service but tattoo tubes and most piercing tools are as well! For items that do not come pre-sterile from the manufacturer such as body piercing jewelry, we use a state of the art sterilization, which is called a StatimClave. This sterilization process does not require the use of pouches and allows your piercer to maintain “point of process” sterilization for these items. For the couple of piercing tools that are simply not available in a disposable version we utilize a vigorous processing system that employs two full sterilization cycles. All artists of The Queen Bee Tattoo Parlour are trained in universal precautions to protect both themselves and their clientele.

Getting Permanent Makeup

Queen Bee offers cosmetic tattooing that combines the tried and true practices of the tattoo industry with advancements in the field of permanent makeup to provide you with the safest and longest-lasting permanent makeup procedure possible.

Cosmetic Tattooing is a specialized craft within the tattoo industry that requires finesse and an understanding of both the tattoo and cosmetics industries. The cosmetic tattoo artists at Queen Bee are highly talented with a proven record of service and skill. If you would like to find out more about permanent cosmetics, what services are available and how you can schedule an appointment please read on. Oh, and don’t hesitate to give us a call if you have any other questions.

Permanent Cosmetics

  • Eyebrow Enhancement
  • Lip Liner/Lip Color
  • Beauty Marks
  • Corrective/Repair Work –
Unfortunately, not all procedures are conducted by individuals proficient at placing pigment into the skin. Corrective services require a consultation to determine the best course of action. Whether the color is wrong, has faded prematurely, or just doesn’t quite look how you’d like we can sit down, analyze your individual needs, and decide on the best course of action to correct your procedure.
  • Areola Re-pigmentation –
Cosmetic tattooing with flesh-colored pigments can be utilized to reconstruct the aesthetic appearance of the nipple-areola complex after reconstructive surgery, invasive medical treatments, aging, or other breast augmentation procedures that have affected the appearance, size, or color of the areola. This procedure usually takes 3-4 visits to obtain the final result but is less invasive than old methods of areola reconstruction which included skin grafting.
  • Scar Camouflage –
Pigment can be added to light areas. Even with a good match, some differences may still be noticeable. For hyper-pigmentation (dark spots) we are not able to achieve good results for camouflage, so do not offer it as a service. For this condition, we suggest seeing a dermatologist for lightening options or consider a traditional tattoo as a cover.
  • Eyebrows
Brows should have been arched the way you prefer with makeup or by professional waxing/threading upon your arrival.
  • Lipliner / Lip Color
For those with a history of cold sores, a course of the appropriate anti-viral medication is mandatory for the procedure. Lips will be tender and swollen, be gentle and drink through a straw the first day.
  • Scar Camouflage & Post Surgical Repigmentation
Scars should be at least one year old. For re-pigmentation, the skin should have fully recovered from surgery. Both require a consultation.
  • Repair Work
Unfortunately, not all procedures are conducted by individuals proficient at placing pigment into the skin. Corrective services require a consultation to determine the best course of action.

Be prepared for the color intensity of your procedure to be significantly larger, sharper, brighter, or darker than what is expected for the final outcome. It will take time for this transition based on how quickly the outer layer of your skin exfoliates.

The color will fade from its original hue as it heals. Touch-up appointments may be necessary to achieve the desired color.

Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may swell slightly or redden, some clients feel it’s best not to make any social plans for a day or two following the procedure. Makeup, stress, and travel may adversely affect healing.

For any facial work a hat, visor, or dark glasses should be worn to provide protection from the sun.

Any tweezing or waxing should be done at least 48 hours prior to the procedure; electrolysis no less than 5 days before. Do not resume any method of hair removal for at least two weeks.

Any eyelash or eyebrow tinting or eyelash curling should be done no sooner than 48 hours before or two weeks after the procedure.

If you are contemplating cosmetic surgery, laser peels, laser hair removal, botox, collagen treatments, lip augmentation or implant surgery such procedures may affect or alter permanent cosmetics. These procedures should be completed BEFORE permanent cosmetics are applied.

Wear your normal makeup and bring your lip or brow pencils to the office on the day of the procedure.
